Who was Socrates? Why must we learn from him? By doing this webquest you would discover a few things about his life and times. These are the main goals of your research:
1) Learn about Socrates life and death. Who? When? Where? How? By whom?
You should visit different webpages looking for information about Socrates (birth date, occupation, friends and disciples, trial and death) Your knowledge about Socrates will be evaluated with different tests and quizs.
2) Learn about Socratic method. What was it about? Is it useful for you?
You also have to catch the basic traits of Socrates philosophy and his method for reaching truth and virtue.
3) Learn about the importance of Socrates for contemporary world. Why do we need to study his philosophy and way of life? Are there any other historical characters that remind us about him?
You will have to think about Socrates legacy and express your opinions about many of his thoughts and life facts. At the end of the webquest, you are supposed to write a short essay about Socrates influence in today´s world.
